how i work

My personal style is warm, encouraging and honest.  I am a therapist who “gets in there” with clients—I  actively give feedback—while bringing lots of compassion and empathy to the work.

I work from a Depth Psychotherapy orientation and incorporate an eclectic blend of modalities (including but not limited to: Somatic Experiencing, Gestalt, Jungian, Narrative Therapy, Imaginal Psychotherapy, Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couple’s Therapy, Internal Family Systems), and use the tools and theories best suited to each client.

You can read more about my practice on Psychology Today.

depth psychotherapy

Most people come to therapy wanting to change something about themselves. Paradoxically, the change we seek often comes from greater self acceptance, and through the integration of parts of ourselves we’ve lost touch with. It is an act of love to pay attention to ourselves and to greet what we find with patience and understanding. Our unconscious “symptoms” are often trying to tell us something of great importance.
